This Honduras is special. The organic farming practices can be traced back to women producers in the Marcala region. The core objective of the 1500 producers are to successfully live in harmony with nature everywhere. This lot of coffee came from 15 farms all owned by women.

Tolima has remained hidden in plain sight between other well-known coffee growing regions because armed conflict and coca leaf production isolated small coffee producers and exposed them to high rates of violence. As conflict has subsided, locally organized associations have started creating market access for their coffee. This traceable blend comes from an association called Cafe Excelencia which includes 84 producers with small farms in the municipalities of Ataco, Tolima, Colombia.
